Cell Based IC∞from
NEC uPD82000 family∞. Cell Based ICs are programable devices similar to FPGAs and NEC has "cores" available that
simulate NEC V30 Processor∞, handle JPEG compression, and support USB communcation. String "V30 Firmware Version" can be found in
A:\CAMERA.EXE. NEC V30 is 80186 compatible.

evidence∞ that NEC Cell Based ICs are used in digital cameras. Drawing of the camera on that page looks a lot like Canon A60/A70/A80.
